Further information is available at www.bgis.comJob Summary : As a member of the BGIS SCS Team, you will be generally responsible for heavy duty cleaning in a designated zone with an emphasis on quality control, health and safety & striving to exceed client expectations.***Day, Evening and Night shifts available (Monday to Friday)***Key Responsibilities: Functioning as a core member of the operational team and reporting to the Manager/ Supervisor the Heavy Duty Cleaner will:Clean floors by sweeping, scrubbing, or vacuumingDry/wet mop (wash/scrub) and polish hard surface floors. (The washing/scrubbing of floors is done with hand held or walk behind buffing machines. In large open applications, automatic equipment may be used to perform these functions)Strip and finish hard surface floors manually or with power equipment when requiredTransport garbage from drop points to garbage bins or compactorTransport maintenance machinery, where necessary, between floors and job sites
Responsibilities + Skills
Ability to lift, push and pull heavy items as well as climb ladders.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, clients and the general public.Ability and willingness to work weekends, holidays and shifts as assigned as well as work in multiple locations.Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, prepare and maintain manual and electronic records.
Education
Experience
Experience in performing various cleaning, housekeeping and maintenance activities in an institutionalized environment.Experience in using floor maintenance machines, cleaning equipment, materials and solutions.
