Job Description
The Director, Business and Market Development is a vital component to Optum Serve’s success and future growth. This role will be responsible for cross-functional and cross-program coordination across Optum Serve to support opportunities with the agencies they are assigned, while initially focused on T4NG2. This Director is responsible for strategic engagement and focuses on external relationships and preparedness for the procurement. This position will also drive the internal preparation and will be the intersection for the Optum Serve Growth team and external partners. This position will work directly with Growth Operations, Product and Strategy, Solution, Operations, functional business owners, the bid desk and outside consultants on distinct opportunities, both new and re-competes, that align with our business and growth strategies and key priorities to facilitate business and market development for Optum Serve. You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities:Manage T4NG2 and VA (Veteran’s Affairs) IT opportunitiesSupport other VA/ DoD/ DHA growth opportunities as requiredPrepare Bid/No-Bid gate packages for each task order opportunity and creates/updates strategic account plans for the T4NG2 accountCollaborate with the VA IT senior growth executives to provide strategic support in advancing the VA business and achieving growth objectivesConduct comprehensive research, management, and data analysis on healthcare consulting projects, contributing valuable insights to inform strategic decision-makingActively participate in collaborative brainstorming sessions to address challenges within the healthcare consulting landscape, offering innovative solutions and strategies
Responsibilities + Skills
Education
2+ years of experience in VA (Veterans Affairs) ITProven ability to analyze market trends and develop market strategies to satisfy customer needs and grow revenue opportunitiesWilling and able to travel up to 50%
Experience
5+ years of experience leading business development lifecycle, including collaboration with Capture, Proposal, Solution, Pricing and Operations teams on winning bids
