Job Description

The Director of Operations will help develop, manage, and improve operations that support the annual planning and implementation of ongoing aspects necessary to run the Digital Futures Institute. Areas of coverage will include: workforce development and management, financial planning and governance, project management, outreach and communications, and stakeholder engagement. This will involve designing and implementing an ambitious hiring plan, establishing its operations and structure, and building a culture of equity, inclusion, and collaboration.Job Summary/Basic Function:This position will help develop, manage, and improve operations that support the annual planning and implementation of ongoing aspects necessary to run the Digital Futures Institute. This will involve designing and implementing an ambitious hiring plan, establishing its operations and structure, and building a culture of equity, inclusion, and collaboration.As the Director of Operations, you will build and manage growing teams that span the fields of instructional design, education technology, physical spaces and media. You will guide the planning and monitoring of key metrics, while aligning the appropriate staffing and operational strategies. You will partner directly with the DFI leadership team on cross-functional projects aimed at meeting strategic goals.Responsibilities:Report to and partner closely with the Managing Director and Executive Director to ensure that the hiring plan and growth strategy aligns with a vision that includes significant additions to staff over the next 3 yearsActively build and cultivate a collaborative, inclusive, equitable, open and trusting cultureDevelop and manage the Institute’s budget, ensuring spending decisions are transparent and aligned with institution-wide valuesGuide strategic direction and support quarterly planning, resource allocation process, and standardized processes across both the College and the InstitutePartner with functional experts to design ad hoc analyses that support achieving the goals of specific teams

Experience in building and leading high performing teams with a wide variety of analytical and operational skillsCommitment to advancing the both the Colleges and the Institute's mission and plan for growth

Experience

Excellence at getting input and building support for plans among a range of stakeholders; enthusiasm for working closely with academics, legal practitioners, University administrative staff, and external stakeholders
