Intern - Mission In Motion

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:This internship will work directly with the Executive Director and the Mission In Motion committee with a major focus on all aspects of event planning. This role will include items such as securing auction items, raffle prizes, recording and sending out the minutes before each meeting, as well as coordination of various pre and post event communication. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Assist with the planning and execution of the Downtown YMCA Mission In Motion annual special event.Work with event venue to coordinate Mission In Motion event-day logistics: staging, lighting, sound, bike placements, setting up refreshments.Participate in Mission In Motion committee planning meetings. Responsible for agenda creation and note taking.Assist with coordination of Mission In Motion event drawing and live auction.Coordination of pre- and post-event advertising materials.Organize event-day volunteers: recruitment, scheduling, communication.Other duties as assigned
