Member Services - Child Care Aide

Job Description

As a Child Care, you will make a difference in the lives of children in Play & Learn by providing a healthy, safe, and nurturing environment for them while their caregivers use the YMCA facilities. Join our team and foster children’s social, physical, spiritual, and mental growth, demonstrate the YMCA core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility, and interact positively with parents to develop a trusting relationship.The following qualifictions will make you successful in this role:At least 16 years old and have a warm and friendly personality and willingness to interact and play with children.Understanding and knowledge of children, their behavior and development.The ability to learn and lead age-appropriate group activities (crafts, games, etc.).The ability to use age-appropriate behavior management techniques according to YMCA guidelines.Willingness to obtain and maintain current certifications in First Aid, Child Abuse Prevention, Safety & Risk Management through YMCA training programs
