Part-Time (Seasonal) Admission Application Reader

Job Description

Teachers College, Columbia University seeks knowledgeable, reliable, and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Part-Time (Seasonal) Admission Application Readers for the 2024 application cycle. The individuals in this role will review applications from approximately December 2023 to June 2024 for various graduate degree programs, as needed. Part-Time (Seasonal) Admission Application Readers will report to assigned staff members of the Office of Admission and work under the additional supervision and guidance of relevant program faculty.Part-Time (Seasonal) Admission Application Readers will be required to:Participate in various training sessions via ZoomReview assigned applications by target deadlines using an online application system, Technolutions Slate, for an estimated total of 15-35 hours per week (depending on an individual reader’s availability)Review application files in accordance with a designated rubricThoughtfully apply evaluation protocols and knowledge of the programExercise discretion, sensitivity, and professional judgment when managing highly confidential information about applicants and process; candidates must sign a confidentiality agreement

Responsibilities + Skills
