With over 60,000 associates and a network of more than 1,000 stores spanning across the Southeastern and Mid-Atlantic States, Food Lion is deeply committed to affordability, freshness, and the communities it serves.Responsibilities:- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the meat department in adherence to company standards and customer expectations- Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing customer needs, resolving inquiries promptly, and maintaining a friendly atmosphere- Lead employee training programs and development initiatives to uphold service excellence- Drive meat sales through effective merchandising strategies, promotions, and inventory control- Develop and implement strategies to enhance profitability while managing operational costs efficiently- Manage scheduling, payroll processing, and conduct performance evaluations for department staff- Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate competitive pricing and maintain optimal inventory levels- Uphold Food Lion's dedication to quality products, freshness, and community involvement within the meat department
