Qualcomm provides complete chipset solution that includes CPU, Modem, Application Processor, Multi-media engines, Interconnect and more. Power is a key area that drives the value of our chips. As fabrication technology node shrinks, and performance requirement become higher, it is crucial to provide power optimized solutions, which is the responsibility of the group that you will be working in. Key responsibilities are:On Target power feature analysis, optimization, and prototypingCompetitive analysis – power and performance benchmarking of audio, video, camera solutions across various segments (mobile, compute, IOT, auto, XR)Machine learning workload power analysis (audio, voice, and imaging applications)Implement models for power projections, validation and architectural trade off analysisEstablish use-case and HW core power targets derived from competitive analysisWork with HW/SW design teams to optimize power features and present competitive analysis findings.
Responsibilities + Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
Experience
Experience with video, camera and low power sub systems (audio, sensors)Experience in power modeling, verification, and simulation toolsExperience in competitive power/performance benchmarking analysis
