The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.   Position SummaryThe Department of Neurology at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center is currently seeking a Research Assistant. ResponsibilitiesPerforming basic molecular biology and histology assays.Providing supportive administrative duties for lab members and PI.General lab ordering, mouse colony handling, mouse genotyping, tremor and physiology recording, immunohistochemistry, Western blot analysis, confocal microscopic imaging acquisition, and data analysis.Maintain records, prepare results, and present findings.Work closely with laboratory and bioinformatics scientists to create industry-leading single-cell genomics data and knowledge. 

Responsibilities + Skills

Education

Knowledge of various related laboratory procedures and techniques is preferred.One year of related experience is preferred.
