Job Description
Position Focus:Assist in complex research projects in mice under the general supervision of the Principal Investigator - Dr. Richard Edelson. Position duties require conducting research and working with the Co-PI to plan and perform experiments in studies of dendritic cell-based therapy in murine tumor models. The Research Associate will need expertise in handling mice and experience with in vivo mouse models (eg cancer models), in initiation and monitoring progression via imaging, phenotyping, and tissue harvest and digestion. Experience in bleeding and injections via multiple sites necessary. The individual must have experience in mouse colony management including breeding. Tissue culture experience in both cell line generation and maintenance would be preferred. Proficiency in multi color FACS staining, analysis and interpretation of results would be advantageous. The Research Associate will also be responsible for general lab maintenance, including organizing databases, placing orders, maintaining stock solutions, ensuring lab equipment is functioning properly, and maintaining updated safety and animal regulatory protocols. The position will also be responsible to work with, teach, and supervise trainees of many levels working in the laboratory. May perform other duties.

Education
Sterile Tissue Culture experience- cell line generation, maintenance and storage.
