The OpportunityAs a Student Support and Front Desk Associate, you will be a key player in the CALS Office of Student Services team, supporting the Inclusive Academic Advising and Registrar teams. Your responsibilities will include being the first point of contact, maintaining front desk operations, and providing resources, support, and advocacy to CALS students.This position is part-time (24 hours/week) in Ithaca, New York. An on-site presence in Ithaca is required 4 days a week for front desk management, with somewhat flexible daytime hours starting in the morning. We expect flexibility for busier times during the semester that may require team coverage. You and your supervisor will mutually agree upon your schedule.What you’ll do as the Student Support and Front Desk Associate:Front Desk Management (65%):Act as the primary lead for front desk responsibilities.Provide accurate guidance to students, faculty, staff, and parents within FERPA and University compliance guidelines.Manage office email and phone, responding and redirecting inquiries as needed.Schedule meetings and provide calendaring support for Directors.Stay informed on college deadlines, dates, and activities.
