The College is redefining liberal arts and sciences education for the 21st century.Job Description:The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Dean’s Office is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Director of Student Success Programs . Under the direction of the Senior Director of Student Success and Outreach, the Assistant Director will be responsible for a variety of student success programs, primarily for incoming and first-year immersion students in The College.With college leadership and staff, the Assistant Director will develop and implement academically supportive experiences and opportunities for first-year students based on college goals. They will assist with the development of long- and short-range goals and strategies to improve student success and retention. The Assistant Director will work in coordination with various partners to move each initiative forward, while evolving programs based on university, college, and student need.

Responsibilities + Skills

Education

Evidence of a Masters degree and 1-3 years of experience in advising, first-year programs or success courses preferred.Demonstrated knowledge of principles, practices, procedures and methods of student success.

Experience

Self-motivation and ability to work independently, along with a willingness and ability to take direction and work as part of a teamExperience in applying the principles, techniques and methods of teamwork, compromise and collaboration to produce desired outcomes.
