Job Description

Job SummaryPurdue University and the College of Engineering are looking for a candidate with exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build working relationships among a diverse workforce to become its next Business Assistant. The Business Assistant will provide account management support for faculty in the School of Mechanical Engineering including sponsored programs from a variety of federal and non-federal sponsors and university funding. As Business Assistant you will be responsible for daily operations with a direct impact on effective account management. Act as a liaison for both the department and central offices, especially sponsored program services. The position will interpret, communicate, and implement university financial management guidelines, policies, and procedures as well as require advanced knowledge of federal and non-federal guidelines. Exercise department head and departmental fiscal signature delegation by approving purchase orders and travel.
