The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.   Position SummaryThe Director, Budget and Financial Analysis manages day-to-day budget operations for the Academic Unit Budget team, which oversees the budget for schools and academic departments at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC). Reporting to the Executive Director, Academic Unit Budget and Financial Analysis, the Director, with the support of three analysts, is responsible for the review of school and department operating budgets and results, identification of potential issues and opportunities, and summarization of findings in executive format for senior leadership review. Responsibilities

Responsibilities + Skills

Education

Bachelors degree, as well as at least five years of progressively comprehensive experience in budgeting and financial analysis

Experience

Experience in higher education, an academic medical center or hospital or in an equivalent environment preferred. MPA, MBA or comparable advanced degree, or equivalent experience preferred.
