Job Description
Provide quality customer service within the store. Responsible for maintaining standards in accordance with the standard practice manual, maximizing sales through excellent customer service and minimizing shrink through proper utilization of standard practice.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMaintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with primary emphasis on fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experienceCourteous and helpful to other associatesEnsure that all advertising and sales promotion materials are properly utilizedReplace tags for each item that changes price in all departmentsScan the product or tag for each price change to ensure accuracyMaintain signage for displays during the price change processMake tag corrections on any item not transmitted according to price changesPull tags and hangs closeouts for items deletedVerify prices and tags for 1000 items in the store each week, using the wireless hand held unit, according to the schedule supplied by the Customer Support Center and corrects any differencesOrder and maintain all Warehouse and DSD replacement shelf tagsMaintain tags for new items and ensure that the items scan correctlyCommunicate prices not transmitted correctly or any “not on files” to the Customer Support Center via Voice of RetailMaintain a complete understanding of and adherence to company guidelines, policies and standard practiceUnderstand and follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and proceduresObserve and correct all unsafe conditions that could cause associate or customer accidentsReport all associate and customer accidents in accordance with established Food Lion procedures to the Manager on Duty

Ability to use computers and other communication systems required to perform job functionsPerform repetitive hand and arm motionsBend and lift products weighing up to 15 lbs. continuously, 25 lbs. frequently, and 50 lbs. on occasionPull or push up to 75 lbs. on occasion
