Job Description
The Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ) brings together financial institutions and other financial sector participants who have individually decided to support the objectives of mobilizing capital for the net-zero transition and addressing the barriers companies face to scaling decarbonization. Seizing the economic opportunity created by the transition requires an increase in the flow of private finance across all sectors of the global economy, especially in emerging markets and developing economies, where the private sector faces a wide range of barriers to investment. As a key focus, GFANZ works with local and global partners–including governments, multilateral development banks (MDBs), development finance institutions (DFIs), multilateral fora (COP and the G20/G7)-to unlock transition finance in emerging markets and developing economies. Our work is led by financial institutions and focuses on both global and country-specific initiatives, including supporting country platforms, partnering with MDBs and DFIs to scale tools to mobilize private finance, and supporting the development of solutions to other barriers to investment.
