Job Description
Yale Library seeks a highly collaborative individual to lead the Continuations Management unit and to join our team of innovative technical services professionals. The Manager of Continuations is instrumental in establishing and maintaining strong intellectual control over continuous and integrated content throughout the acquisitions lifecycle. Leading a team of one librarian and six paraprofessionals, this individual works closely with colleagues and vendors to effectively manage the payments and renewals for e-resources and subscriptions in Yale’s diverse research collections. Works closely with other units in Electronic Resources and Serials Management (ERSM) and partner departments to establish best practices that ensure the efficient acquisition, licensing, payment, and renewal of both routine and complex electronic resources in support of the library’s broader mission. Works closely with partners to ensure consistent access to library holdings across multiple platforms including the library’s catalog and discovery services.
Responsibilities + Skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills; demonstrated analytical and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Education
Demonstrated ability working in a library management system (LMS). Conceptual and practical knowledge of the technologies used to manage and access e-resources and serials.
Experience
