This professional is tasked with designing, implementing, and managing data solutions on the Snowflake platform, utilizing InfoWorks to automate and orchestrate data workflows. The goal is to optimize the processing, storage, and analysis of large volumes of data, enabling the organization to extract meaningful insights efficiently and effectively. Your expertise will enable us to leverage an array of external and internal data assets more effectively, playing a pivotal role in unlocking the potential of our workforce data to shape the future of our workplace. Role Responsibilities:Snowflake Architecture Mastery: Design, implement, and manage sophisticated data models within the Snowflake environment, optimizing for performance, scalability, and security.Workflow Orchestration: Utilize InfoWorks to automate data pipelines, from extraction and transformation to loading (ETL processes). This includes scheduling tasks, managing dependencies, and ensuring that data flows seamlessly and efficiently between source systems, the data lake, and Snowflake.Data Engineering Excellence: Define comprehensive data requirements, extracting and processing vast datasets from structured and unstructured sources within our data lake, ensuring data integrity and quality.Innovative Analytics Support: Enable data scientists by developing advanced mechanisms for data ingestion, analysis, validation, normalization, and cleansing using Snowflake’s unique capabilities.Policy and Security Collaboration: Work closely with Data Policy, Security teams, and Legal departments to establish robust data policies, developing secure interfaces and retention models that respect privacy and compliance standards.
Responsibilities + Skills
Education
Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Scientific Computing, or a related field is preferred.
Experience
Experience: A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in data engineering with expert-level proficiency in Snowflake and Big Data technologies.Snowflake Expertise: Demonstrated experience with Snowflakes data warehousing solutions, including architecture, security, and data modeling.
