The School of Politics and Global Studies (SPGS) is an academic unit in the Social Sciences in ASU’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. With 29 tenured/tenure-track faculty, 19 professors of practice, 9 teaching faculty, as well as 17 staff members, SPGS offers bachelors, masters, and doctoral programs in Political Science; bachelor’s degrees in Global Studies, International Relations, and in Politics and the Economy; and master’s degrees in Global Security, Political Psychology, and International Affairs and Leadership. SPGS serves approximately 1,600 undergraduate students as well as over 400 graduate students. SPGS also has partnerships with the ASU Leadership, Diplomacy and National Security Lab, New America, and The Melikian Center for Russian, Eurasian and East European Studies.Job Description:Coordinates activities and functions of a designated program to ensure that goals and objectives specified for the program are accomplished in accordance with established priorities, time limitations, funding limitations or other specifications. This classification is intended for positions that have responsibility for a particular program; the program provides a specific service or carries out specific activities as a separate entity or as a component program within a department, but it is not a department itself.
