Job SummaryThe Program Executive - Family Programs provides executive level leadership for the association’s Family Programs and Sports and Recreation strategy for youth and adult sports and recreation programs. The Program Executive-Family Programs plans, designs, develops, implements and evaluates Family Programs and Adult Sports and Recreation leadership development programs, practices and systems to achieve organizational goals. This person designs, implements and evaluates best practices for hiring, training, onboarding, and coaching all staff in assigned areas in partnership with Y branches within YGS (YMCA of Greater Seattle). In addition, the Program Executive- Family Programs designs, implements and evaluates Family Programs and Sports and Recreation programs and services to achieve best practice and performance benchmarks.
Responsibilities + Skills
Education
Bachelors degree in sports management, parks and recreation, social services or equivalent experience. Other applicable education, training, and experience, which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position will be considered.8 or more years of related experience, with 5 years of proven experience managing large sports and recreation departments.
Experience
Experience with and knowledge of youth development and child abuse prevention.Intermediate computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office suite.
