Security Assistant

Job Description

Implements best practices/procedures in the 5 Star Food Market. Ensures the Best Practices are implemented and tracked. Responsible for ensuring that the food, supplies, and patrons are safe and secure at all times. Attend all ASYMCA training meetings, special events and staff meetings as requested. Must uphold and promote the ASYMCA mission by demonstrating the core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.Duties and Responsibilities· Monitors assigned areas and facility areas, crowds, suspicious activity.· Escorts Trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premises.· After business hours, checks doors, windows, and gates to ensure the property is secure.· Contacts law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency and immediately notifies Executive Director of the situation.· Performs other related duties as assigned.Mandatory Certifications/Requirements:

Responsibilities + Skills

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk or standing and walking around areas to monitor. Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds at a time.Work Environment

Education

Authoritative verbal communication skills. Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
