The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.   Position SummaryThe Student Research Worker for COMBO and the Nurture Science Program (NSP) role is crucial in supporting the organization's mission to seek to understand the long-term impact of in utero SARS-CoV-2 exposure on both mothers and babies. Using a highly collaborative multidisciplinary approach, we study a broad set of outcomes including neurodevelopment, growth, maternal cognitive function, socioemotional function and much more. The Student Research Worker will support with literature reviews, data collection, and data analysis under the guidance of senior researchers, contribute to the development and implementation of research methodologies and protocols. Collect, organize, and analyze research data using appropriate statistical and qualitative analysis techniques.Assist in the preparation of research reports, presentations, and publications to supports the mission, goals and objectives of Columbia University COMBO / NSP study. ResponsibilitiesRecruit participants, obtain informed consent, interact with participates in English and Spanish. (when applicable)Program, manage and code data collection through REDCap, clean and analyze study data.IRB submission management and conducts literature reviews.Attends project meetings, area seminars, and other meetings as necessary.Performs related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested. 

Responsibilities + Skills

High School Graduate or Equivalency required.

Education

Strong project coordination and communication skills as well as exposure to research methods, programming and/or clinical informatics.Software proficiency: working knowledge of R, SAS, Stata or other statistical software.Experience working with REDCap or other study data management systems.
