Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is looking for a F-22 Pilot Training Entry-Level SWE – Simulation to join our team in Berkeley, MO. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Global Services (BGS) Software Engineering organization. The F-22 Vehicle Simulation Team within BGS Software Engineering is responsible for developing products directly employed in the training of our nation’s fighter pilots: F-22 Pilot Training Avionics Simulation (PTAS)F-22 Advanced Simulation Toolset (FAST) supporting the Boeing Virtual Warfare Center (VWC)F-22 Deployable Training Device (DTD)F-22 Mixed/Augmented/Virtual Reality Simulation These simulations support the employment and training of next generation avionics and sensor systems for the F-22 Raptor. This is an exciting opportunity that will allow you to directly impact on the engineering, design, and development of multiple simulators. In this role you will design, implement, integrate, and test real-time human-in-the-loop models of aircraft systems and displays, and related tools and utilities. You will interact with users to clarify requirements and timelines; participate in technical design and peer code reviews; employ coding standards; seek guidance and mentoring from senior engineers; and develop software as part of a coordinated agile development team. All while developing technical expertise in complex aircraft systems and simulations.
Responsibilities + Skills
Knowledge of cloud architecture, including the different types of clouds (public, private, and hybrid), the different cloud platforms and the various components involved (computing, storage, and networking).Ability to automate and script skills.Knowledge of containerization technologies which includes understanding how to manage containers, deploy applications in a containerized environment, and troubleshoot issues.
Education
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
