DescriptionThe Department of English at Arizona State University (ASU) invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track, Associate Professor or advanced Assistant Professor position in Writing, Rhetorics & Literacies (WRL) with an anticipated start date of August 16, 2024. We are interested in candidates with a specialty in teacher training and writing pedagogies. A key component of this position is teaching and mentoring the incoming cohort of graduate teaching assistants (GTAs) from multiple program areas (Creative Writing, English Education, Linguistics and Applied Linguistics, Literature, WRL). The position will also focus on developing curriculum and training resources for the GTAs and faculty who teach in ASU’s Writing Programs, which serves more than 10,000 students annually. We invite research on teacher training program development, writing pedagogy, and writing theory. The department welcomes secondary proficiency in online pedagogies, writing program administration, and/or digital rhetorics.
