Job Description

The School of International Letters & Cultures is the primary home for the study of international languages and cultures at ASU. The School offers 26 undergraduate degrees and 10 graduate degrees and has approximately 1,500 majors, 1,500 minors, and 70 graduate students. The School enrolls approximately 10,000 university students each semester and also offers a Translation Certificate program for credit and language certification for teachers in the valley region. The School has a teaching and research staff of approximately 200 faculty, lecturers, instructors, faculty associates, and graduate teaching assistants.Job Description:Compensation Rate: $55,000 - $60,000 per year; DOE Are you passionate about languages, cultures, higher education and communications? If so, your next professional adventure awaits. The Communications Specialist for the School of International Letters and Cultures (SILC) in The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is an energetic, flexible, creative yet project-oriented communications professional who creates, drives and manages integrated marketing plans, programs, strategies, tactics, communication platforms, initiatives and digital content in support of recruitment, retention, development and outreach efforts to achieve SILC, The College and ASU goals. Reporting to the unit director, the Communications Specialist works closely and collaboratively with staff and faculty in the school, as well as The College Dean’s Office, academic units and partners across the university to support ASU's enterprise communications initiatives. .

Education

Demonstrated knowledge of marketing practices and principles.Demonstrated knowledge of media placement and graphics design concepts.Experience in strategic communication planning.Knowledge of the principles, concepts, and practices of project management.Experience in best practices of communication and marketing methods and techniques.Experience in communication
