The Event Manager is a key member of the UHG Events Center of Excellence team. Responsible for managing event planning to ensure consistency with brand and corporate requirements across enterprise incentive travel programs with occasional support of conferences and strategic client events. Daily duties include strategic planning and collaboration with internal stakeholders, and the logistical and budget management of their events. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a desire to drive successful and productive outcomes on a consistent basis. You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities:Manage end-to-end conference/event related planning that drive a consistent attendee experience, providing on-site support when neededReview and manage relationships with existing and potential vendors, ensuring mature utilization of existing tools and roadmap developmentProvide ongoing work direction to Attendee Managers regarding registration, reporting, attendee communications and mobile app deploymentUnderstand and keep up with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies in both live and virtual environments. Be a resource and subject matter expert the team can rely onMaintain and build solid working relationships with cross-functional peers while adhering to established RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed) / workstream guidelines for conferences/eventsPartner with key stakeholders to understand the goals and objectives of the events

Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, manage projects and be highly organizedAble to assess complex situations and make decisions and/or recommendations across departments and functionsConfident in verbal and written communication with all levels of an organization, external partners, and vendors
Education
CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) CertificationExperience in a strategic meeting management function within a Fortune 500 firm
Experience
3+ years recent experience with event technology (Cvent)2+ years of proficiency in Microsoft office suite including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft PowerPoint, Teams5+ years of experience in a deadline driven environmentAbility to travel 25% of the time for onsite event executionPreferred Qualifications:
