Grants Administrator - Endocrinology

Position SummaryReporting to the Divisional Administrator, the Grants Administrator will be responsible for financial and administrative management of assigned grants, clinical trials and other sponsored research projects throughout the award life-cycle, from pre-award to close-out and will handle all SPA related matters for all Principal Investigators in the Division of Endocrinology and pre-award coverage for several Divisions in the Department of Medicine. ResponsibilitiesOversee preparation of sponsored projects proposal submissions.Provide Principal Investigators with guidance and administrative support in the submission process.Work with University central departments, including Sponsored Project Administration (SPA) to ensure that submissions are accurate, complete, up-to-date, timely and comply with the University and Division of Endocrinology policies and procedures.Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects.Initiate and coordinate contract and budget negotiations for private grants and clinical trials.Prepare budgets, cost/benefit (profit/loss) analysis and evaluate potential business risk of proposed submissions.Provide guidance on compliance matters as they relate to proposals for submission.Set up awards, budgets, prepare payroll allocations and update as needed.Prepare quarterly/annual budget updates.Prepare financial reports and regularly review with Principal Investigators.Monitor revenue receipts and timely billing.

Education

Bachelors degree or equivalent in training, education, and/or experience and at least four years of relevant financial, administrative and sponsored projects management experience in an academic medical center or higher education
