Job Description

The Division of Nutritional Sciences at Cornell University seeks to fill a USDA-funded Postdoctoral Associate position focused on community-based nutrition and physical activity interventions. This individual will be supervised by Dr. Laura Bellows and join an interdisciplinary research team focused on the development of healthful eating and physical activity behaviors and environments for young children and their caregivers (parents and educators). The successful applicant will have a demonstrated research record in one or more of the following areas: public health nutrition, physical activity, childhood obesity, intervention development, m-/e-health, health disparities, psychology, or child development.

Responsibilities + Skills

Education

Skills in applied qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis.Strong work ethic and commitment to becoming an independent scientist.

Experience

Experience and knowledge in community-based interventions, eating and/or physical activity behaviors and assessment, intervention development.Skills in applied qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis.
