Job Description
This position will serve as the Program Manager for Cornell Cooperative Extension Association Sullivan County’s CDC grant funded Drug Free Communities (DFC) Sullivan Allies Leading Together (SALT) program and will work under the direction and supervision of the Association Prevention Programs Issue Leader. The DFC SALT program uses the Strategic Prevention Framework and community coalition building and coordination to deliver outreach and education to reduce youth substance use. This position will be responsible for the day-to-day management, organization, and coordination of all aspects of the grant funded program as long as funding is active. This position will provide oversight for program volunteers and vendors. This position will oversee marketing and communication initiatives in support of the program. The position is responsible for assessing local system needs, trends, marketing, product sources, financial management and record keeping, and will provide support for research, evaluation and documentation of public health, prevention, and community development strategies.
Responsibilities + Skills
Valid NYS Drivers License and the ability to meet travel requirements associated with this position.Basic skills in the use of modern electronic technology and software (e.g., video, audio, computers, Microsoft Office Programs, social media, internet and database software, etc.)
Education
Bachelors DegreeExperience in community education, outreach and prevention.Experience relevant to the role of the position.
