Seasonal Admissions Readers - Undergraduate

Job Description

The College of Architecture, Art and Planning (AAP) at Cornell University (Ithaca, NY) is seeking temporary, seasonal admissions readers for the 2023-2024 undergraduate admissions season.Seasonal readers will be trained by AAP Admissions staff to evaluate applications to undergraduate programs in Architecture, Art and Urban & Regional Studies, including the review of high school transcripts, application essays, recommendation letters, and other application components. The admissions review is comprehensive, taking into consideration each applicant's application materials.Seasonal readers are expected to commit to a minimum of 20-25 per week during peak application review (January through the first week of March 2024). Readers will conduct a comprehensive review on an average of 3-4 applications per hour during regular decision. Training and work will be primarily conducted remotely via Zoom/phone. Seasonal readers will partner with admissions staff for training and for the duration of the reading period, and serve as the initial readers of application files.
