Boeing Distribution Inc. (BDI) is seeking an Associate Shipping & Receiving Specialist. The Shipping & Receiving Specialist completes initial part verification and identification on outgoing shipments according to shipping processes and procedures. Processes and confirms receipt/shipping documentation for internal/external customers. Maintains inventory of shipping supplies at our Dallas, TX facility.Position Responsibilities:Shipping & Receiving Responsible for the receipt and shipment of incoming materials, supplies, and products.Receives goods, verifies items against the record of shipment, and inspects condition.Gathers, verifies, and packs items for shipment according to specifications and the transportation method used.Records received and shipped items according to established procedures.ResearchResearch and resolve discrepancies between actual product and associated documentation.Records information as it pertains to shipments, including weight, charges, damages, or any discrepancies.OtherCompletes special projects and other duties as assigned.This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Responsibilities + Skills
Typical Education/ Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate) Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.
