This position will have a flexible/rotational schedule. The schedule is determined by the supervisor and may be modified from time to time to meet the changing needs of the Library and University. Initially, there will be responsibility for Reading Rooms, classrooms, delivery and transport paths, storage areas, entrances/exits, exteriors and exhibit spaces but the individual facilities and areas within these facilities will expand over time. There will be non-special collections areas also monitored by this employee. This position may also be responsible for monitoring, coordinating, responding to and reporting information from access control, alarm systems, fire systems, environmental systems, visitor management systems, document report and incident report systems, tour systems, key management systems, intercom systems and other security and non-security related systems. This position will be trained for all security officer positions within the Beinecke Library. This position may become a rotating position within the unit.
