Job Description
This role is part of an experienced and entrepreneurial team advancing ASU’s global access and impact mission. This position will report to the Vice President of Global Academic Initiatives (GAI) and is responsible for developing, directing, marketing, managing, and leading the business development function for the unit. The Senior Director will generate new business opportunities for ASU’s academic enterprise, expand existing global partnerships, and drive the success of the ASU Cintana Alliance, a global university network currently comprised of 30 partners in 26 countries. GAI is a fast-moving unit advancing high-priority projects, that are affected by global economic, social, and political factors, therefore we are seeking a leader who can thrive in an atmosphere of complexity and dynamism.
Responsibilities + Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree in a related field AND ten (10) years of related experience which includes five (5) years of management/supervisory experience; OR, any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Experience
Demonstrated knowledge of global higher education principles and practices.Evidence of an advanced degree and/or participation in research and/or publication activity.Ability to travel locally, nationally, and globally.Evidence of effective communication skills, and presentation skills.
