The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.   Position SummaryThe Department of Biomedical Informatics is seeking a student casual to work on the CONCERN project in Dr. Sarah Rossetti’s lab. This project will be using various NLP and ML approaches for extracting information from nursing notes with the goal of augmenting the early warning score calculated by the CONCERN system. 

Responsibilities + Skills

Education

Strong programming skills in Python.Prior exposure to NLP and ML through a course and/or research project.

Experience

Prior working experience with text classification approaches, topic modeling and deep learning approaches to text.
