The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.   Position SummaryThe Department of Pathology and Cell Biology is looking for an energetic, meticulous and dedicated individual to work in a fast-paced neuroscience laboratory on a project developing a potential non-invasive therapy for neurovascular disease. Responsibilities will include immunohistochemical experiments and analyses of neuronal tissue, cell culture work. Analyses utilize software analysis of digital data. The technician B will provide support to a neuroscience laboratory developing a therapeutic for neurovascular diseaseAdditional responsibilities include maintaining lab equipment, assisting in ordering reagents, and managing lab facilities.   ResponsibilitiesWorks on research project(s) with assigned postdoctoral research scientist/fellow/graduate student(s)- 60%Performing cell cultureImmunohistochemistry and confocal imagingData analysesPerforms experiments of common interest to laboratory-20%

Responsibilities + Skills

Education

Requires a bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, physics or related science or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Experience

Background in neuroscience, immunohistochemistry, confocal imaging, cell culture and data analysis.
