Boeing Commercial Airplanes has an exciting opportunity for a CSCHA Confined Space Monitor to join our team in Renton, WA. Employees in this position operate Communications System for Confined Hazardous Areas (CSCHA) monitoring equipment. They provide a means that checks on the safety of personnel working in hazardous confined spaces in aircraft structures, through the use of a radio communication system and perform surveillance of confined areas where safety procedures require a confined space radio or attendant system including verification of proper grounding, ventilation and confined space entry permit procedures.
Responsibilities + Skills
Prepare reports by collecting data from various sources (e.g., Area Survey, Attendant Logs, Notice of Revocation of Confined Space Entry Authorization) and submit to required personnel (e.g. Team Leader, supervisors, (SHEA) Safety, Health and Environmental Affairs), as required
Education
Respond to system alarms by going to confined space and searching at or around location, calling for person, if no answer, direct console monitor to dispatch emergency response personnel and remain in area to render assistance, as required
