Job Description
- Lead, train, and develop associates to meet departmental needs.- Supervise department associates' performance, provide ongoing training, and conduct performance appraisals.- Promote a positive culture reflective of Food Lion's brand and strategy.- Support the achievement of financial goals and key performance indicators.- Ensure exceptional customer service by maintaining an enthusiastic and friendly atmosphere.- Control expenses through proper ordering and equipment maintenance.- Maintain department appearance, quality, safety standards, and sanitation.- Monitor inventory, prevent losses, and ensure proper cash control.- Adhere to safety regulations and company policies.- Provide coaching to associates for continuous improvement.- Complete required training courses and certifications.Requirements:

Education
- Problem-solving abilities with good judgment in decision-making.- Willingness to learn technical aspects of the job and use relevant tools effectively.- Ability to meet physical requirements of the position including lifting weights up to 100 lbs on occasion.- Accreditation as a "Certified Food Safety Manager" or willingness to obtain it within the first 90 days of employment.
