Job Description:Job SummaryThe Office of Research at Purdue University is announcing the search for an administrative assistant to provide office management and support strategic initiatives. This role is responsible for ensuring the office runs smoothly and provides coordination across difference units within the office. The administrative assistant will provide scheduling and calendaring support for leadership in the office and coordinate meetings for special projects. They will serve as the human resource liaison, manage conference rooms and office spaces, order and organize supplies and equipment and coordinate with the communication team on office events and support special projects. Initially, special projects support includes the Institute for Physical Artificial Intelligence (IPAI). This position will report to the Assistant Vice President for Strategic Initiatives and partner closely with the Senior Executive Assistant for the Executive Vice President for Research, the Event Manager, and other administrative assistants across the office.

Education

Ability to identify problems and implement or recommend solutions.Drafting, proofreading, and editing skills.

Experience

Four years of experience in an administrative support roleExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to handle frequent interruptions, balance multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality
