Qualcomm seeks an experienced and visionary Principal Enterprise Data Architect to play a pivotal role in defining and executing our data architecture strategy. This position is crucial for ensuring that our data infrastructure is scalable, secure, and optimally aligned with our business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of data architecture principles, data modeling, and the integration of emerging technologies into a cohesive data ecosystem that supports innovation, operational excellence, and strategic insights. Strong executive presence and the ability to effectively collaborate with business stakeholders are essential for success in this role.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Lead the development and implementation of Qualcomm’s enterprise data architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and technology capabilities.Design and manage robust, scalable data models and architectures to support the evolving needs of the business, focusing on efficiency, quality, and security.Design the Master Data Management strategy that will help create a common view of master data and provide a centralized mechanism for its aggregation, cleansing, transformation, augmentation, validation, and syndicationCollaborate with IT leadership, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data needs, identify gaps in our current architecture, and propose solutions that enhance data accessibility, reliability, and scalability.Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, effectively communicating the value and impact of data architecture initiatives on business outcomes.
Responsibilities + Skills
Education
Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.Certifications or advanced training in data architecture, data engineering, or related fields.
Experience
AWS Machine Learning Specialty CertificationArchiMate 3 Practitioner CertificationExperience with machine learning models and AI-driven analytics.Familiarity with industry-specific data standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) that impact data architecture and governance.
