Job Description
Reporting to the Administrative Operations Manager and providing high-level administrative support for faculty in the section of Cardiovascular Medicine within the Department of Internal Medicine, in a fast-paced and demanding work environment. This position is seeking a Sr. Administrative Assistant to support and be the first point of contact and principal source of information for visitors and faculty of the department. Based on knowledge and experience with the department’s activities, objectives, and staff, determine needs, answer questions, and/or refer matters to the appropriate person, as needed. Establish and maintain electronic files and records according to university policies and department protocols. Guide faculty and staff regarding record keeping, computer systems, department and university procedures, etc. Based on general guidance from the manager, independently coordinate and facilitate the administrative aspects of conferences, workshops, special events, etc. Arrange for travel, lodging, meals, invitations, equipment, and other logistics, which may include arranging for complex needs, international travel, etc. Schedule clinical schedules in Qgenda. Compose, proofread, and edit correspondence and other written materials and ensure completeness of outgoing communications. Support faculty Outlook calendar, meetings, and appointments. This position is hybrid.

Experience
Six years of related work experience, four of them in the same job family at the next lower level, and high school level education; or four years of related work experience and an Associate's degree; or little or no work experience and a Bachelor's degree in a related field; or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
