Citi Agency Lending is part of the overall Securities Services Business unit. The ASL Business facilitates the temporary transfer of securities from a lender to a borrower against collateral (securities or cash), enabling beneficial owners to generate incremental income on their portfolio securities. The services provided include: trade execution, trade settlement, collateral management, cash re-investment, recall/return processing, asset servicing and lender/borrower billing. Typical ASL clients include Mutual Funds, Insurance Companies, Pension Funds, Public Funds, Sovereign Wealth Funds, and Central Banks. The Sec & Derivat Intmd Assoc Analyst is an entry level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to assist in the clearance, settlement and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.Responsibilities:Utilize basic industry and business knowledge to conduct analyses of hedge funds and other counterparty activitiesContribute to the creation of customized reporting used to present information to managementSupport implementation of securities processing improvementsAssist with identifying policy gaps and formulating policies that streamline related work processesReview and analyze hedge fund activities, procedures to reconcile cash/holdings and securities pricingDevelop and use knowledge of securities, processing practices and standardsProvide informal guidance or on the job training to lower level/new securities processing team members when requiredAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.2-5 years of relevant experienceConsistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
