Position SummaryThe Department of Neurology is seeking to recruit an experienced VHO-Nurse Practitioner to provide medical care to patients under the direction of Laura Lennihan, MD, Chief of Neurology Inpatient Service. ResponsibilitiesThis is a part-time position which includes admitting patients, preparing patients for discharge, making daily rounds, orderingdiagnostic tests and treatments, talking to patients and families,calling and conferring with consultants, writing admission and discharge notes and daily notes, and participating in clinical research protocols related to patient care, all under the supervision of an attending neurologist Other duties as assigned/required.

Education
Bachelor's degree required plus five years of nursing experience in addition to a current New York State NP and RN license.Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree preferred.
